Some may call it a gift guide, I call it a helpful list for my husband. I’m rounding up my favourite Christmas gift ideas “for her”. Use it as you will… to find something for the lovely ladies in your life or as a little inspiration for your own Christmas list. Enjoy!
Handbags and Accessories
Every girl loves a handbag (don’t they?!). The Clare Slater London bag is the perfect combination of gorgeous soft leather and slouchy roominess so it looks amazing but is completely practical too. Onto this bright red Mansur Gavriel, which has got me looking like a heart eyed emoji and the Aurora London Gigi bag, which comes in so many gorgeous colours and can be personalised too for that little extra thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for something a little smaller, then I’m also loving this Clare Slater London make up bag with its lizard printed leather, which is perfect for those daily essentials.
Now, I know hats are a bit personal, but take it from someone that has never suited a hat in her life, this Camilla Rose Millinery one is universally gorgeous – the style, the colour, the design details, it’s so flattering and I’ve been dreaming of it being in my Christmas stocking ever since I tried it on at the Clare & Co pop up. Also, scarves, socks and gloves may seem like an obvious choice, but there’s nothing staid about the ones I’ve picked out. This Dolce Roopa babouche slipper scarf defies words with its stunning colours and I love the quirky but super elegant Marlow London “washcare label” neck scarf (yes, the design is a silk wash care label when opened out) – FYI it looks amazing styled with a simple black outfit and leather jacket. If you’re looking for something more snuggly, then the shearling block colour scarf from Gushlow & Cole is also stunning. Last but not least, these Genevieve Sweeney luxe pink socks will brighten any boring sock drawer and can be personalised and I’m loving the bold yet easy to wear colour of these Sermoneta leather gloves too.
Health & Wellness
I always think health and wellness gifts are super thoughtful. We all need a little R&R from time so I’ve picked out some of my favourite relaxation aids – this Seven Seventeen scented candle, these Spacemasks and the T2 Green Tea Kit would all make me smile on Christmas Day and beyond. But if you’re loved one is a little more active, then I can’t recommend this Fitness Kit enough, which gives you everything you need to work out ANYWHERE or a Fitbit, which I credit with getting me back into exercise – a great choice for beginners and fitness freaks alike. Finally, if you know someone that just needs a little helping hand to get back to basics, to find a bit of time for themselves and achieve a little extra happiness (I mean don’t we all need this?!) then I’ve included the wonderful Bees Knees Jounal.
Who doesn’t love receiving some gorgeous pyjamas to snuggle up in for the winter season? I’m a long PJs girl but I’d be happy to put that preference to one side for these gorgeous Asceno London silk shorties. But there’s also some lovely long sets out there too. I was really drawn to this elegant design from Oysho. I also loved this star print set from Tales of Thread (they have so many amazing prints it was hard to choose just one), which are a beautifully soft blend of silk and cotton… and that’s not the only reason you’ll sleep well in them, they’re also ethically made. And what’s better on a cold Christmas morning that a cashmere dressing gown… well, nothing!
I absolutely love jewellery and finding independent brands who put equal measures of quality and passion into their design process. Statement earrings are top of my list this year – and it’s not difficult to see why with these gorgeous options from Ador by Ayesha and Soru Jewellery. I’ve well and truly jumped on board the layered necklaces trend and these are some of my usual suspects that can be worn solo or together. I don’t wear a lot of rings but I absolutely love SVP Jewellery’s concept of adjustable rings that fit everyone – perfect for gifting when you’re not sure about size! And finally, I’m coveting these Neola Design stacking rings for their pure simplicity – and the fact that you can buy a couple to mix and match the different metals too.
Keeping it home grown almost across the board with these UK based designers, Ille De Cocos, Genevieve Sweeney and Bella Freud. I’m a big believer in investment knitwear and every autumn I unpack sweaters I’ve had for years that still look as great as the day I bought them – you just need to go with quality and give them a little bit of love and attention in the washing department. Spot the odd one out, you might say… well I love this H&M sweater as much as my higher end knitwear – it’s soft, it’s cosy and it comes in 4 great colours. So yes, it might look a little plain in comparison, but I’d happily be on the receiving end of such a great staple piece that can be mixed and matched with so many different outfits.
