I love Houston, it’s a beautiful city with great activities and we’ve had the perfect family weekend… oh and it has some fantastic Insta-worthy walls too, so you know, I’m just happy all round. I always find it interesting and maybe a little counterintuitive that it takes longer to put together an outfit for weekends like these… one that’s not only stylish but also practical. It’s easy to get dressed for an Instagram event with no playgrounds or dirty hands in sight (well, I’ve yet to go to one like that yet anyway), but if you want to be fashion forward and you don’t want to look like you’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards at the end of a family fun filled day, it actually takes some thinking. And so, in that vein, I’m loving these jeans and button down shirt, both Zara – the high waist, wide leg, crop combo on the trousers makes them more interesting than the norm denim we all reach for and the shirt is pretty and lightweight and everything you want out of a spring blouse – and you get both for under £60. I’ve finished it off with my favourite Kayu bag, they have so many fun designs and I’ve linked a few of my current favourites below, a new Tilly Sveaas St Christopher necklace which I’m practically living in and my Manebi espadrille sneakers (otherwise know as Sneakerdrilles, best word ever in my opinion…).
